Creativity on Command
Juggling a busy family schedule, a jam-packed to-do list, and your own personal agenda is no easy feat. As a blogger, writing is one of my more time-consuming daily tasks to get done. When I do manage to carve out a piece of my day just to write, it is often difficult to get the words and creative juices flowing quickly on command like I need them to.
As usual when I need a solution to this kind of problem, I thought, “I wonder if there’s an oil for that…” Of course, there’s an oil for that! In fact, I have two different diffuser blends that I love for when I need a little creative inspiration, so I wanted to share them with you. No matter what your creative outlet is–writing, crafting, sewing, photography, painting, or something else–we all sometimes need those creative juices to just flow!
The Making of The Blends
Also, I wanted to say a word about where these blends came from. As someone who is a “by the book” kind of person but also relatively new at developing my own oil blends, I consulted both dōTERRA’s website and my go-to oil resource book to make sure I came up with effective combinations of oils. The book is The Essential Life, and I highly recommend it to anyone starting out using essential oils. My oil guru friend recommended it to me when I first signed up to be a dōTERRA Wellness Advocate, and I have relied upon its information MANY times over the past few years.
There are several different methods you can use when selecting oils to make up a blend. The step-by-step for developing an oil blend is for another post, but suffice it to say that some research and thought went into these original blends. I wanted these blends for creativity to be energizing and uplifting while also being grounding and stabilizing. I’ve experimented with and tweaked these recipes and really love both of these blends for stimulating creativity. I hope you will too!
